https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qayub7OikFM

hey you guys welcome back to my channel
today is Saturday October 5th I was like
I woke up this morning I'm like oh my
gosh I cannot believe we are already
into October like where has this time
but where did this year go honestly even
summer break with Jeremiah home it just
seemed like it went so fast that I
cannot I just can't seem to keep up I
really can't
and so yeah I cannot believe we're
already in October and we're reaching
the year 2020 within such a short amount
of time and it just made me really kind
of sit back and reflect on how this year
has really already been for me where I
have traveled to in life journey and you
know where my channel has gone from the
beginning to where I am today and it
just really made me sit back and think
about those things and I thought what a
good thing to like just kind of do an
update with you guys because I haven't
done no true updating a long time to
just kind of fill you guys in with you
know where we're at in life what we're
all up to where our foreseen future is
going and things like that so I thought
today would be a perfect time to do that
because I was already thinking about
just life in general and what we've
already been through so and I'm gonna
put this out there because I've had
multiple people say this to me and so
I'm just gonna I'm gonna address it so
we can just you know I'm sure it skills
it's still gonna be brought to my
attention but whatever anyways I hear a
lot of people say do you have a hard
time speaking where you never taught how
to speak correctly did you come from a
different part of the world and this you
know English is your second language no
no no no no no on all of those me
speaking is just the way I speak I you
know I I didn't go to
[Music]
in a way I guess you could say I really
only went to school public school a
couple years of my whole life so all of
my learnings were done at home with my
families of the different families I was
raised with also you have to think about
the fact that I am with somebody that
has a very strong accent I have been
raised around majority of the people
that I have lived with had very strong
accents plus my family is from the south
and so I think some of that all kind of
combines itself and yeah so that's kind
of where I think some of my speaking can
kind of come into a little bit of
existence but you know if that's the if
that's the worst of the worst with me
than I think I'm doing pretty good but
no I I don't know I don't notice it my
husband doesn't notice because I've even
asked him I'm like baby do I sound weird
when I talk because now I'm like all
self conned you know conscious like is
this like something I'm doing wrong am i
teaching my kids something wrong and
he's like Amy just stop
but you know I mean maybe it is
something that I just have never
actually noticed well I never have and
you know and he said yeah that he's
noticed it but it's not anything that's
like worthy to bring up and you know be
like highlighting it to me so I guess I
can say I'm an imperfect perfect person
so anyways okay enough with all of that
drama but um yeah I wanted to just kind
of give you guys an update on how life
has been for all of us and I don't know
just I guess fill you guys in and at the
very end we will do a little catch-up
with Sebastian because I know I've had a
lot of questions about him and how he's
doing and all of that good stuff so well
star back just a little
so let's see in January I was still
really doing good with my change of
lifestyle I was dropping weight
fantastic filling on top of the world I
was getting my life back physically
emotionally and all of it and about
March I would have to say that that's
kind of when I started backtracking and
I just started introducing things back
into my lifestyle that obviously was
going to derail me from where I was
headed in the direction I was going I
successfully lost 78 pounds from January
to I mean from July 2018 to February of
2019
I successfully had lost 78 pounds since
then I have gained back since March I
miss a fairly I'm gonna say March from
March till today I have gained right
about 50 pounds back and now has put me
back up at 472 pounds I just weighed
today is that make me proud of myself
absolutely not I think that it shows
that there are still challenges that I
am facing and I'm going through but it
also is an eye opener to why I have been
feeling the way I have and I know lately
I have been struggling immensely with
energy I am hurting to stand with my
feet and my back to go into the store I
cannot walk through the store right now
with my back the way it is there's just
no way and then I start getting like
short breaths and my chest starts
feeling really heavy and then I start
panicking and thinking that you know I'm
gonna have a heart attack and it's just
oh my god
mm-hmm it's not a good mix for a me all
together so I have to say that I am very
frustrated with myself I am you know and
I've spoke about this part of myself a
few times in the past couple of weeks
because it's been something I've been
really struggling with but I also have
to know that I am you see I am doing the
best that I can do for where I'm at
right this minute but that is no excuse
for why I have gained the weight that I
have gained other than bringing things
like I said back into my lifestyle
drinking soda and things like that that
clearly are just not it's just not
something I should be doing but I have
just been very irresponsible in the
choices that I have made so that's where
it's gotten me is back to 472 pounds
that's not the highest that I've been
but it's definitely gradually growing
and I don't want that so there's some
changes going on there also kind of in
the mid part of the year as most know if
not a lot of YouTube world knows that me
and my family had went through a very
straining time in our life financially
my husband Olly if you don't know who he
is
he owned his own car lot business where
he sold cars at the beginning of his
business he did really well and cells
were doing really good things were
looking really well and then gradually
over time the cells started dwindling
down lower and lower and lower and it
wasn't just him there's mold
businesses here in Salem that we're all
struggling about the same you know just
cells were really low and in between and
so we knew it wasn't just him struggling
but whether or not he was the one
struggling on our part and he was the
one that was you know obviously bringing
in the income cuz I am at this point now
I used to work full time as a childcare
provider I worked multiple hours any
well my whole time of working I did 24
hours a day seven days a week
I worked holidays I didn't take time off
I mean there were days in between that I
would have off because it just so
happened that the families would have
the same days off sometimes
so it would happen to be where I'd have
a day off but you know my hours of
operation with a certificate was 24
hours a day seven days a week and I did
that for many many many years starting
at the age of fourteen I started caring
for kids
well twelve just taking care of like
siblings that lived in the home 14 is
when I really started working with one
of my caretakers at the time that ran a
childcare and I did it from 14 until I
was 28 29 something like that no sorry
28 28 I worked under people but still
worked like 12-hour shifts and then from
28 to 30 35 36 I was doing it inside my
very own home under my own business name
and that's when I was doing 24 hours a
day seven days a week I was physically
getting exhausted I was getting tired it
was no more fun to me it was just you
know at at one point in my life it was
very fun I enjoyed it it was what I
wanted to do but the fun got killed out
of it real quick when laws were changing
and things were just changing it just
wasn't fun anymore
and if
not gonna enjoy something that you're
doing why are you gonna do it because
you're just not gonna be passionate
about it and so after a lot of
discussion between me and Olly he
decided that you know we were at a good
point with his business that I could go
ahead and retire out and you know just
focus on the babies and focus on myself
in the house and and he would be focused
on his business well ultimately then
what happened was the cells started
going down so it really put us in a
tight position and you know we came to a
point in our you know the fork in the
road a few months ago back in June June
or July God like I said the time of this
year has gone by so fast but it was
either June or July that we were put
into a position where we didn't know
what else we were supposed to do but to
either get up and move completely and
uproot our entire family to try and move
our where he could find a job and bring
in money because here in Oregon
especially Salem there's really no jobs
available that you can get that would
really pay enough to support a family
and so he we talked about it and we're
like you know what we're just gonna have
to move to a state where it's cheaper to
live but maybe we can find something you
know work-wise between the two of us we
can both go to work you know we could
work separate hours you know whatever we
had to do we were willing to do it you
know and I was willing to do it I was
willing to go back to work outside the
home I was willing to start child care
but it's a process to start it back up I
mean you got a lot of Licensing and
stuff you have to do it's not like it
just happens overnight
so therefore with that one it would have
taken us at least a couple of months so
that was gonna be something that
wouldn't work for us here at the very
moment but we could have opened up a
childcare wherever we were going but
again it was going to take time
so we really thought that we were just
gonna have to pack our bags and just
take basically what we can fit in a
moving truck and the rest we were just
gonna have to leave and donate out to
people and start our lives somewhere
else and I was so torn because one this
is where I have always lived I've never
lived outside of Oregon much less I've
never lived really outside of Salem
other than for a few years of my younger
part of my life and so for me it was a
very sad moment and my anxiety was up so
much because just the thought of leaving
everything that I've ever known
leaving it was very very hard for me but
I was willing to sacrifice whatever I
had to do and so when we sat down we
really discussed it and talked about it
we just thought you know what no it's
not gonna better us to move somewhere
else we're just gonna have to start all
over wherever we go so we should just go
ahead and stay put
do what we can come up with what we can
you know Ellie was gonna hit the road
and start doing job searching really I
mean he would travel wherever he needed
to travel to get a job he didn't care
and he successfully found a job within
the first day that we even went out to
start looking for a job which you know
was like it made us mad at ourselves
because we're like why didn't we just do
this sooner you know but like he said he
had almost lost his self-confidence
because his business was dying the
business that he dreamed so bad for it
was dying right in front of him so he
felt like he had lost his
self-confidence that he was able to
fulfill a job duty that needed to be
filled and you know when he went into
this workplace where he ended up getting
hired they hired him pretty much right
there on this spot I mean there was a
few things he had to do like a drug test
and all that you know typical things but
I mean they pretty much hired him right
there like they were like no you're high
we want you and and he's been with that
job since then and he absolutely loves
it I have not seen my husband so happy
in a very very long time all he even
went through a very dark time and again
I think it was his grieving over the
fact that he knew his business was not
going the way we wanted it to go and I
think it just put such a big heaviness
on him but also on our whole household
we all felt it we all felt it and for me
I felt so worthless because my husband
was hurting he was struggling and there
was not a thing I could do about it I
could not take it away from him I could
not make it go away all I could do was
keep standing next to him saying we're
in this together you know we're a team
we're gonna make it through this you
know and look where we are now you know
it was just a matter of we did have to
go through a very very scary time in our
life but not only did we get through it
but it brought us so much closer to each
other so really this year I would have
to say me and oli have grown leaps and
bounds within our marriage and really
learned what it means to cling to one
another when we felt like the world
around us was crashing we knew we had
each other to lean up against each other
and our children were underneath us you
know and we had to protect them from
everything falling around us because
they're innocent they don't understand
they don't know what's going on and
surely they don't know anything about
finances because we don't talk about
those things in front of them so it was
something that me and oli had to truly
face alone and figure out and then with
the grace of my my best friends you guys
the ones that truly truly wholeheartedly
support us was there to pick us up
as a couple and support us emotionally
physically you know verbally if it
wasn't for even you guys I think we
would have even been in a deeper darker
hole because we had support coming from
the ones that truly care and love us and
that even made me grow more with my
channel because I see how real and true
and I really learned what letting people
in can do did we pay some consequences
for others that wanted to cause a little
bit of Grif yeah um but again it really
showed us who was there for us and who
just kind of wanted to make us a
laughing joke and that's okay that's you
know what it built us to where we are
today and I couldn't be more happier and
like I said seeing my husband in the
space mentally and emotionally that he's
in today makes everything worth what
we've had to go through because of that
so there's that that Ollie got a really
good job he's a mean he's so sad like I
just see him wake up every morning and
he gets ready for work he has to wear
suits to work and I see him walking out
of his room every morning with like his
work gear on like he's ready to you know
make another day another dollar
you know this has also taught us majorly
about you know budgeting and spending
money where we need to spend and saving
money where we need to save money and
spending money you know cautiously and
responsibly and you know making a budget
sticking to the budget having a savings
you know those things are all things
that we have learned this year so much
because now we understand what having a
savings really
means spending money responsibly what
that means and things like that things
that we never thought about because we
never been in a situation like that
before and we looked at each other at
that very day when we decided we're
gonna stay here we're gonna figure it
out we looked at each other and we said
I swear to you we will never be in this
situation again and we promised each
other that and we are gonna stick to
that promise and we will never be in
that situation again because there is no
reason to be in that situation if we
just really be careful cautious and
mature when you know life is going on
because it's not always about
materialistic things sometimes you know
it's nice to get things it's nice to buy
things yes it is but at the same time at
the end of the day that extra five to
seven ten dollars that we didn't spend
on the one item that we thought we
really wanted might come in handy when
there's something we really need so and
that's where we now we always ask
ourselves is this something we need or
is it something we want if it's
something we want just like I told ollie
that I really would like to because we
we don't have a coffee pot maker we had
a Keurig but um I went to go clean it
one day it's stunk and I'm like oh no I
can't get down and deep in there and
clean all that mmm nope nope and we
didn't even buy it we got it from a gift
of from one of his friends that were
leaving and moving they had a brand new
Keurig they couldn't take it with them
they're like - you guys want - I'm like
well sure yeah I mean it's brand new why
not and so I used it and I used it till
the fact that like I said I you know I
always cleaned it but for some reason
there was something like a smell or
something there's a little little scroll
back out there and my window um but
anyways and so I ended up tossing it
because I could not get rid of the smell
and I could only imagine but it probably
looked like from where the smell was
coming from
so I asked him the other day I said hey
do you think that we can put on the list
of things that we would like to possibly
get a small just a small little coffee
pot because I would like to you know
make hot chocolate or a you know maybe a
cup of coffee in the morning or
something and we don't have a coffee pot
maker and you know and I said and we can
even look now we'll see mind you before
if I want a coffee pot maker I would
just be like hey I'm gonna go buy a
coffee pot maker okay whatever
now it's can we put it on the list and
I'm gonna wait a good six weeks this is
when I have talked about it with him six
weeks until Black Friday sells and then
we can look and see a lot of times they
have them at Walmart for like five bucks
and so I'm like I'll wait until you know
Black Friday so I'm I I'm teaching and I
am still teaching myself that sometimes
we have to wait to get something until
it's on sale or whatever it might be so
I would have to say also learning
patience has been a big big thing this
year is patience and you know with the
kids they're doing amazing I work with
Omar as four three times a week with
preschool sometimes I film it sometimes
I don't it just depends on you know what
we're doing and where the kids are
behavior wise sometimes they're into it
in other days they're not and so it's
more of just a you know I don't force
them to sit down but I try and do fun
things we've made cookies through
preschool learning how to count you know
chocolate chips and Counting measuring
cups and things that's been really fun
and so I do that three times a week with
them Jeremiah is doing absolutely
amazing in fact I just talked to his
teacher and she said that he is an
amazing student she said he is one of
her best behaving child in class
he's very persistent on you know he
sticks to what he's supposed to do he
you know listens to the rules and he's
even getting caught up more on some
learning things that he was having a
little bit difficulty with last year
he's get catching it and getting it this
year so all in all you know we are doing
amazing but I think it really I think it
got us to this point by going through
such a dark place at the beginning of
the year and I foresee a very bright
future for our family I don't see us
slipping back into where we were because
I think again like I said we have
learned such huge huge lessons that we
won't get back in that situation again
and we won't put ourselves in that
situation again because it's all about
responsibility and maturity and we were
we were lacking both at the time so yeah
but anyways people were just kind of
asking like where we've been you know
why there's been multiple new people
that have joined my channel well good
and I channels just been growing I'm
loving it but there's been a lot of
people like I said that have joined and
don't understand or don't know a little
bit of the back history from you know
the last few months so I thought well
why don't I just kind of give an update
and you know Ollie
again like I said he is absolutely
loving his job he's already possibly you
know getting um what is it called uh not
a raise but uh getting a higher position
I don't know what that's called sorry
third that's one of my brain things nope
but they're talking about giving him a
little bit of a step up in his position
so that would be amazing and he's just
like I said he is so so so happy with
his job and I am so happy to see my
husband in this spot because he deserves
it and I know that he is very very
worthy of having this he is very he
deserves it and I'm just so excited for
him I am excited for him all around for
so many reasons but stepping up and
doing what he has done yes I know that
it's you know this is what all men do
and I'm not saying my husband's not been
a man but it's different when you've
gone from owning your own business
having your dreams what you thought were
coming true to having them kind of
unfolding crash before you it's hard it
is hard and then to have to go out and
get an outside job when you have been
your own boss for you know quite a while
it's hard it's not easy but he has done
it and he enjoys it and he loves what
he's doing and that just makes it all
worth him waking up in the morning and
hitting the work field and doing his
grind so let me grab Sebastian really
quick so I can show you guys him and
update you guys about him and then we'll
close and I'll get this edited so I can
get it put it as my big boy he weighs 10
pounds he's gotten so big he wakes up
about 10 o'clock and then at nighttime
and he will play until about 5:00 in the
morning and then he goes under his
little din and he sleeps and sleeps and
sleeps and he has his appointment he's
all caught like he has all of his shots
except he has two coming up this coming
Wednesday and then he'll be completely
caught up on his vaccinations and then
we have his appointment to have him
fixed and that will help like they say
that that helps with like aggression and
stuff but I mean we don't deal with
aggression with him even the vet says
her and the assistants say that he is
one of the sweetest skunks they have
ever had in their care that he's just so
loving and
probably because I mean this is why he
gets all the time no he's always just
getting loves and given loves you baby
usually but yeah he's our he's our
family baby all he calls him meatball
and he listens he if you tell him to
roll he'll roll over if like he's out in
the living room and it's bedtime all he
will tell him okay go to the better go
to the room and he will he'll go
straight to the room he doesn't he just
totally listens he is so so so so smart
so yes Sebastian makes an amazing family
pet let me pull the camera up a little
bit you want to see hi to our friends
look it's okay it's okay it's okay look
look look look look he's like no
Sebastian look no he's he gets scared
look good it's okay
Bastian look yeah yeah anyways well I
hope you guys enjoyed this video and
this little update about our family and
our update about Sebastian and you know
just know that we you know we went
through a lot in planes going on hey guy
okay look you have to let go of me you
know our family has went through a lot
this year but we've also grown so much
and could not be in a better space and
so anyways yes I just wanted to do a
short update give you guys a little view
of mashed and Bastian oh she's me Ashton
and let you guys see him and his all his
little glory and take care of you guys
I will check in with you again real soon
bye
